On the TechCruch blog, author Robin Wauters reveals the discover that Twitter has made changes to the way it formats theĀ  Title Tags used on account profile pages in order to gain more link juice from Google.

The upshot is that now when you search your name in Google your Twitter profile page “may very well” be the number 1 listing!

The self branding implications are enormous for both marketers as well as companies! The interesting thing here however, is that the new Twitter tweek seems to give more weight to twitter users who have had an account for 2 years or more. Though I imagine this will change shortly.
