Creating Custom Landing Pages For Affilate Promotions:

If you use 1AutomationWiz.com to run your affiliate program, there are times where  you might want to to create another couple of landing pages that affiliates can mail to in order to do conversion testing, or funnel prospects through a progression of content during a big launch like Andy Jenkins did with his latest launch of the VideoBoss product.

Well it’s actually easier then you might think to set this up when using the 1AutomationWiz.com affiliate software .

To set this up, you’ll use our special ” &U= redirect” feature and some special  merge codes.

So let’s get started and see how this works:

There are a couple of ways to control where your affiliate’s links are pointing.

If you would like to give your affiliates control over which page their default link points, you give them the u-parameter.

Using this feature, your affiliate has control over where their DEFAULT link directs traffic.

The u parameter looks like this:

http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/?af=putMergefieldforAffiliateIDhere&u=www.TheNewURL.com

All you need to do is just add this link to an autoresponder message that you send your affiliates, telling them to use this NEW url the next time they do a mailing for you.

When they do, they traffic they send will be directed to the new page or url that you specified in the special link AND the affilate will still get the credit for the referral – even though it’s not their default affilate link.

Now here’s an example of the link above with the the merge field already added so you can see how it’s supposed to look when you are done.

http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/?af=%$afid$%&u=www.TheNewURL.com

Just change the landing page url in the link above for whatever landing pages you want to create.

For example:

http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/?af=%$afid$%&u=www.TheNewURL-1.com/page

http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/?af=%$afid$%&u=www.TheNewURL-2.com/page

http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/?af=%$afid$%&u=www.TheNewURL-3.com/page

Make sense? ;)

Here’s how it works on the back end:

By adding that &u=www.  onto the end of an existing default affiliate URL, you manually override the destination of the link and force the destination as whatever is entered in the parameter.

Alternatively, and moreover – the preferred recommendation is for you to setup as many different links and banners as you would like from within  your account on our system.

You can point the media that you create to whatever destination you would like and your affiliates have access to them from within their login area.

The u-parameter does not work for media or subsequent programs and therefore the documentation on this method is not provided in the user guide as it only works for the default affiliate link.

We encourage the use of media instead.

To setup your Affiliate Media, please follow the steps below.

  1. Login to your Account
  2. Put your mouse over Email and Marketing/Affiliate Program and click on Manage Media.

From here you can setup a variety of different media types.

In addition, you have also requested a list of merge fields for your Autoresponder and Broadcasts.

This list is also posted within the UserGuide too.
